I am using the Hauppauge HD PVR 2. My device can record without problem. I even get the preview screen on my PC. No issues there. The issue is that my TV will change without prompt from showing the game to saying Not Supported, as if it thinks i'm recording via HDMI because of my TV input. I can still record, it's just I can't see what i'm doing.
However, the preview screen on my computer still shows what should be on my TV screen while the TV is black, just on a second or two delay. Enough to not be able to play a game looking at it. Connections being made: 1. USB slot on PVR connected to PC.
A/V In slot on PVR connected to Ps3. I couldn't find the cable that came with the device, so I have that bit that goes into the PVR as what came with it, but the other half which goes into the Ps3 is third party. So this foreign cable is hooked into the back of my ps3 and it's component cables connect to whatever you guys use to connect it to the pvr. HDMI Out slot on PVR connected to TV.
The Ps3 has 3 cords in it. My ethernet cable, my power cable and the component connection.
The component input on my TV shows up as no signal. It does work, however, on HDMI. My Ps3 is set to output Component/D-terminal or something like that at 720p / 1080i. I originally had it at just 720.
No notable change from one to the other. I've also tried turning it off and on after this setting has been applied. I am using 'Hauppauge Capture' on my PC. Has the red recording circle as it's icon.
